It has been longer than I had imagined, more than 20 years, but my family finally made a trip back to Iowa recently to visit the gravesides of my parents.

Life had taken me from Iowa to Nebraska, to Kansas and back to Nebraska, and time got away.

So we made the trek to see their markers.
