Pool mgr. hired
The Humphrey Aquatic Center has a manager and pay scale for all staff members.
Sydney Wemhoff, 24, of Humphrey, was hired during the Feb. 19 council meeting as the pool manager, and her salary was set at $20 an hour.

The manager, assistant manager and lifeguards salary steps are as follows: Manager Position: Step 1: $20 an hour; Step 2: $21 an hour, and Step 3: $22 and hour.
Assistant Manager: Step 1: $12.60 an hour; Step 2: $12.90 an hour; Step 3: $13.20 and hour.
Lifeguards: Step 1: $12 an hour; Step 2: $12.30 an hour; Step 3: $12.60 an hour; Step 4: $12.90 an hour.
Wemhoff will be part of the hiring process for an assistant manager and the lifeguards.
The council also recommended swimming lessons be split 5050 between the city and instructor.
Wemhoff is originally from Leigh, but lives here with her husband, Cole Wemhoff.
She graduated from Leigh Public School in 2018 and from Wayne State College in 2022, majoring in education.
She teaches music at Leigh Public and has taught at Columbus Lakeview.
Wemhoff managed the Leigh pool several years.
