RCUT opens

Construction continues as drivers learn how it works

Motorists are learning to navigate through the RCUT.

Mike Steffensmeier, highway project manager for the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) District 3, said it will take time for drivers to get used to it, but so far there have been minimal issues.

“I think for the most part it’s working pretty well,” he said. “There were a couple vehicles confused by cutting off access to 91 from 81 — the left turn — but overall it’s working pretty well.”
