Frances (Tworek) Brandl

Frances (Tworek) Brandl, 99, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Columbus, Neb., died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Gateway Vista in Lincoln.

Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 3921 20th St. , Columbus, Neb. Vigil was 5 p.m. at McKown Funeral Home. Columbus.

Visitation was 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at McKown Funeral Home Visitation continued Monday morning at 10 a.m. until service time at the St. Isidore Church. Interment was in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Columbus.

Frances Brandl was born June 16, 1917, in Platte County to John and Agnes (Mostek) Tworek. She received her education in Tarnov before being united in marriage to Lawrence Brandl on April 24, 1939 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Tarnov.

The couple farmed in Platte County near Cornlea before moving to the Madison area in 1948 where they continued farming.

In 1980 the couple moved to Columbus. She was a member of St Isidore Church and the Christian Mothers.

She is survived by: Daughter:

Sharon (Robert) Mack of Humble, Texas

Daughter: Connie (David) Svik of Lincoln, Neb.

Son: Alvin (Janet Ahlers) Brandl of Madison, Neb. Daughter: Beverly Perez of Phoenix, Ariz.

Grandchildren: Aaron (Niki) Svik, Eric (Meghan) Svik, Chris (Teresa) Brandl, Kara (Andy) George, Darren (Priscilla) Brandl, Renee Brandl, Travis Schrock, Brittany (Giovanny) Gonzalez, Dylan (Camille) Gaudreault, Jacob Gaudreault, Michael Gaudreault.

Great-grandchildren: Ashley and Kaitlyn Svik, Peyton Svik, Drew and Mya Brandl, Madeline, Elliana, Abigail and Josephine George and Mia and Mason Brandl.

She is preceded in death by:

Husband Lawrence Brandl Daughter-in-law: Debi (Pfeifer) Brandl.

Parents, John and Agnes Tworek.

Six brothers and four sisters.
