The America Red Cross held a blood drive May 8 for the Espiritu and Coble families. Deco Espiritu and Riggs Coble, preschoolers at Platte Center Elementary School, have acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Council approves 1&6 year street plan

Four street projects were approved Feb. 20 by the Humphrey City Council as part of the Oneand Six-Year Street Plan. All projects are part of the sixyear plan. There are no projects in the one-year plan, however, two projects were completed in the past year. The six-year plan includes: Paving on Eighth Street from Elm Street north 600 feet. Work includes concrete, curb and gutter, drainage structures and erosion control. Cost is $225,000.
