Bulldogs compete well at Scotus meet

The Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family cross country team competed at Columbus Scotus Sept.

14.

“I felt the meet went well for us,” head coach Brett Adkins said.

“On the girls side, Daisy Korus ran a good race and placed 12th in 22:54. Allison Durkop ran well also and placed 69th in 29:34. Both Daisy and Allison beat their personal bests, which was really good considering how hot it was, and the difficulty of the Scotus course,” he said.

“On the boys side, Caleb Preister was 59th in 21:28. Aidan Weidner was 87th in 22:48. Will Whited was 105th in 24:12. The boys time weren’t as fast as I'm sure they'd like, but they all competed well despite the tough conditions, and are getting close to beating their personal bests,” he said.

The junior high boys did well also. Kyle Preister was 26th in 13:34. Cooper Beller was 27th in 13:43. Jacob Preister was 41st in 14:45, and Zavier Kuehler was 77th in 17:58.

“Kyle, Cooper, Jacob, and Zavier all ran well and continue to get better each week,” Adkins said.
