Bulldogs place 3rd at NBC tourney championship

The Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family boys bounced back from a first-round loss to top St. Paul 56-46 Dec. 31 to claim third place in the North Bend Central Holiday Tournament. The Bulldogs were led by Jason Sjuts and Jacob Sjuts, who scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, and Jason pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds. H-LHF led 15-11 after the first quarter and 29-23 at halftime. St. Paul trimmed the lead to 41-38 heading to the fourth, but the Bulldogs put it away with a 15-8 fourth period. Ethan Hanzel scored nine points, Dylan Hanzel, eight, and Turner Beller, seven. Ethan Hanzel also had six rebounds, and Bret Hanis handed out five assists.
