St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Bulldogs win opener in conference tourney

The Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family girls made quick work of Madison, taking a 71-30 win Jan. 17 in the first round of the east Husker Conference Tournament here.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 17-6 first quarter lead and 36-17 at the half.

They outscored the Dragons 35-13 in the second half.

Addison Schneider led the Bulldogs with 13 points, Taya Beller scored 12 and Allie Schneider, 10 and she grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. Danie Brandl hauled in seven rebounds.
