St. Francis celebrates Catholic Schools Week

One week in each school year is dedicated to a celebration of Catholic Schools at Humphrey St. Francis and throughout the United States Jan. 26-Feb. 1.

The committee of Principal Jennifer Dunn, Father Wayne Pavela, Julie Huettner and Stacy Baumgart worked tirelessly for months beforehand organizing ideas and activities for the celebration. The theme for the week was “Catholic Schools: Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed.”

It all began on Monday morning at when the student body (K-12) came together to worship at the celebration of the Mass with Father Eric Olsen presiding. Senior Emma Labenz participated as lector while Haley Schrage helped with distribution of the Eucharist alongside Olsen and Wayne. Pam Goering played the piano and song leaders were Isobel Preister, Noah Wieseler and Andrew Kosch
