St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

HSF boys earn return trip to state with win over Giltner

St. Francis booked a return trip the state tournament Monday night after defeating Giltner 64-18 in the Class D2-1 District final at Cross County High School.

The game was never in doubt as the Flyers raced out to a 10-1 lead after the first quarter and after a 28-4 second, led 38-5 at the break.

The Flyers, who never gave up more than seven points in any period, outscored the Hornets 26-13 in the second half to finish the regular season 25-0.
