Flyers fall to Wynot, earn runner-up trophy

St. Francis defeats Sterling, Mullen to reach finals

Sometimes one team is just a little better.

Saturday, Wynot played a little better than St. Francis to take a 59-51 win in the Class D2 state championship game at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

“They had us out of sync offensively a lot of the game. Their pressure is just fantastic,” HSF head coach Bryan Reichmuth said. “That’s a great basketball team that beat us. We knew it was going to be a dogfight.”
