St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Weidner, Kosch lead Lady Flyers over Palmer

Seniors Allison Weidner and Alissa Kosch combined for 47 points Friday night as St. Francis opened its season with a 87-22 thrashing of Palmer here.

Weidner scored 27 on 12 of 16 shooting from the field, and Kosch tallied 20 on 8 of 14 shooting. Sophomore Kylee Wessel scored 11, hitting 5 of 8 shots.

As a team, St. Francis connected on 38 of 68 shots, 58 percent.
