St. Francis puts defensive clamps on Summerland

On a night when the offense was a little out of sync, the defense was locked in.

St. Francis smothered Summerland 61-26 here Thursday.

Offensively in the first half, the Lady Flyers struggled to get in rhythm.

“They run a 1-2-2, and you just don’t see that a lot, and they’re very tall and lanky, and we talked about it that they’re going to get a lot of deflections. We were definitely not happy with our offense the first half. We changed a couple things at halftime, and we were really happy with our offense in the second half,” head coach Bryan Reichmuth said.
