Defense lets down Bulldogs in loss to Boone Central

Boone Central controlled the tempo, the boards and ultimately the game in handing Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family its second straight loss to a Class C-1 team, 67-48 here Saturday.

“Our defense really let us down,” head coach Joe Hesse said. “We didn’t come out and play very hard on defense, and that kind of carried over to our offense. It seemed like we had a lot of good looks, we got the ball where we wanted it to go, we just didn’t finish strong.”

The game was tied at 16 after the first quarter with Boone Central’s Garret Rasmussen, a 6-3 sophomore, scoring six of his game-high 27 points.
