Flyers fall short in title game

St. Francis carried a 38-34 lead into the fourth quarter Saturday against Burwell but could not stave off the Longhorns, falling 53-50 in the title game of the Goldenrod Conference Tournament championship game.

Burwell outscored the Flyers 19-12 over the final quarter to rally for the win.

St. Francis trailed 14-13 after the first quarter and 30-21 at the half, before righting the ship, outscoring Burwell 17-4 in the third for 38-34 lead.
