St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

As part of the Nebraska Games & Parks program, they raise the trout and then the fish will be released into water at the end of the school year. Lindsay Holy Family students grow trout for Game & Parks

Some day area fishermen may reel in trout that started out as a class assignment.

Lindsay Holy Family seniors are growing trout in their classroom that will be released this spring or summer.

Students in Nicole Trautman’s science class are learning how to raise and care for the fish, and enjoying the experience.

Zach Pfeifer, Cole Preister and Dylan Dohmen are largely in charge of raising the trout, from eggs to when they reach about 4 inches in length and are old enough to be released.
