Hesse finds his own way in family business

Bulldogs head coach follows in father's footsteps, but has own way of doing it

If your name is Hesse, basketball is in your blood.

Joe Hesse, Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family head boys basketball coach, is a chip off the old block.

His father, Rick, coached Clearwater High School to four straight boys basketball titles from 1984-87 and finished with 440 career wins at Clearwater and Valentine and is a member of the Nebraska Sports Hall of Fame. Rick passed away in 2014 after heart transplant surgery.
