The America Red Cross held a blood drive May 8 for the Espiritu and Coble families. Deco Espiritu and Riggs Coble, preschoolers at Platte Center Elementary School, have acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Warren Nolan

Warren Nolan

Warren Nolan, 82, of Columbus, Neb., died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Emerald Care & Rehab in Columbus.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 24, at 1:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Columbus, and Rev. Cindi Stewart officiated. There was no visitation or interment. Warren’s wishes were to donate his body to science. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Legion Hartman Post 84, or the Columbus Cancer Care Foundation. Military honors will be given by The American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard. The memorial service was broadcast on Gass Haney Funeral Home Facebook page.

Warren R. Nolan was born to John and Ada Marie (Ralston) Nolan on Jan. 16, 1939, in Roodhouse, Illinois. He graduated from Greenfield Community School in 1957. Warren was united in marriage to Marilyn Lee Rockford on Aug. 14, 1960, at the First Baptist Church in Columbus. To this union, brought three children.
