More time to garden

Father Wayne Pavela retiring at end of June

A gentleman farmer, traveler and Cubs fan.

That is what Father Wayne Pavela’s next chapter in his life holds for him.

After 24 years serving St. Francis Parish and school and 44 years in the priesthood, Pavela is retiring June 30.

He will retreat to his home and his garden that has supplied the St. Francis Parish Bazaar with corn for years.
