Democrat photos The Humphrey American Legion Foltz-Zuerlein Post 80 Charter, dated Oct. 6, 1919. Notice Zuerlein is spelled “Zuerline” on the charter. There were 15 men who were the original members of Post 80, and their names are listed on the charter.

The Humphrey American Legion Post bears their names — Maxamilian Foltz and Michael Zuerlein — as a tribute for their sacrfice for our country.

The two men lost their lives in WWI while serving their country.
