Patsy "Pat" Jane Hoefer

Patsy “Pat” Jane Hoefer, 70, of Lindsay, Neb., died Sunday, July 25, 2021, at the Boone County Health Care Center in Albion, Neb.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 29, from 5-7 p.m. at Duesman Funeral Chapel in Humphrey, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital or the ASPCA.

Patsy “Pat” was born Dec. 24, 1950, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Claude and Ruth (Dazey) Hiner. She grew up in Worland, Wyo., and graduated from Worland High School in 1969. She moved to Nebraska and attended York College and graduated from Platte College in Columbus with a degree as a medical transcriptionist.

On Aug. 5, 1972, Pat was united in marriage to Fred Hoefer in Worland. They lived in Lindsay, Neb., their whole lives. Pat worked for many years at the Boone County Health Center in Albion. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by:

Husband: Fred Hoefer of Lindsay, Neb.

Daughter: Wendy (Cory) Groenke of Lindsay, Neb.

Grandson: Camron (McKenzie) Groenke

Great Grandchildren: Charlotte and Callaghan

Grandson: Sam (Gina) Groenke

Great Granddaughter: Ava

Daughter: Vicky (Chris) LaFrancis of Ft. Calhoun, Neb.

Grandchildren: Emily and Dylan LaFrancis

Son: Heath (Jenny) Hoefer of Columbus, Neb.

Grandchildren: McKenna, Carson, and Jaxson

Sister: Jacque McDonald of Rawlings, Wyo.

Brother: Randy Hiner of Page, Ariz.

Sister: Thelma (Benny) Lewis of Billings, Mont.

Pat was preceded in death by:

Sister-in-law: Susan Hiner

Brother-in-law: Harvey McDonald
