Mitzi A. Fisher, 58, of Albion, NE, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Boone County Health Center in Albion, Neb.

Funeral Services was at 11 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, at Levander Funeral Home, Albion, Neb., and Rev. Carolann Hopcke officiated. Interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation was 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mitzi Ann Fisher, daughter of William H. and Connie L. (Scheffler) Nienaber, was born March 16, 1967, in Albion, Neb. She received the sacrament of baptism and later confirmed at Lindsay Holy Family Church in Lindsay, Neb. Mitzi attended Lindsay Holy Family and graduated with the class of 1985.

Mitzi was united in marriage to Daniel “Gabe” Fisher on August 14, 1993, at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, Neb. From this union, Mitzi was blessed with one son. Mitzi was a familiar face around the community of Albion. She worked at Lindsay Manufacturing, Gragert’s Market, and was manager of the Park View apartments for five years. Prior to her unexpected passing, Mitzi was a medication aid and assistant manager at Good Samaritan Assisted Living for the past 22 years.

Mitzi was a member of Lindsay Holy Family Church and later became a member of the

Lutheran faith. Mitzi enjoyed taking care of her cats. She was a funny and witty individual that always put others first. She cared deeply for the residents at the assisted living and considered them her second family.

Mitzi is survived by her husband: Dan Fisher of Albion, Neb.; one son: Derek Fisher of Lincoln, Neb.; mother: Connie Nienaber of Lindsay, Neb.; sister: Cindy (Paul) Klassen of Lindsay, Neb.; brother-in-law: David (Jean) Fisher of Albion, Neb.; three sisters-in-law: Janet Fisher of Gainesville, Texas; Joyce (Bob) Rieck of Albion, Neb.; Judy Wille of Genoa, Neb.; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and a greatniece.

She was preceded in death by her father: Bill Nienaber in 2023.
