Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at St. Joseph Church with a Vigil service to follow at 7 p.m., also at the church. Interment is in St. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery.
Mary Wemhoff was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Abilene, Texas, to Virginia Heskett. She grew up in Texas and in Kansas where she graduated from Riley County High School in 1965. Mary was married and she had two sons Dennis and Bill. Mary then married James Wemhoff on September 4, 1976 at St. Joseph Church in Platte Center. She had two more sons, Clinton and Brett. Mary worked as a CNA at Golden Living in Columbus and Fullerton and at Cottonwood. Mary also worked at Region 4 and did home health services.
Mary loved quilting, geology enthusiast, and sewing. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and a volunteer for the Red Cross.
