Jerome Foltz, 89, of Humphrey, Neb., died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025 at Arbor Care Center Countryside in Madison, Neb.

OBITUARIES

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, and Father Taylor Leffler celebrated the Mass. Visitation was on Thursday, from 12 p.m. until service time, at the church. Interment was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion 80 Foltz Zuerlein & VFW Post 7725. Memorials may be directed to St. Francis Cemetery, the new St. Francis grade school, or the Humphrey Fire & Rescue.

Jerome was born March 13, 1936, in Norfolk, Neb., to Edward and Elizabeth “Ella” (Melcher) Foltz. He graduated from St. Francis High School and entered the United States Navy. Upon his discharge, Jerome returned to Humphrey and began farming with his dad. On August 8, 1959, Jerome was united in marriage to Rose Jacobs at St. Francis. To this union four children were born, Pamela, Tim, Tom and Terry.

Jerome farmed and drove truck with his father and brother Mark for a few years. In 1966, Jerome began farming on his own. He was co-owner of Humphrey Fertilizer and Club 81. He enjoyed vintage cars, playing cards, loved helping people out and helping with the harvest. He drove combine during harvest until just two years ago.

Jerome is survived by: Wife - Rose Foltz of Humphrey, Neb.

Daughter - Pamela (David) Jerome Foltz

Wedekind of Louisville, Neb.

Son - Tim (Connie) Foltz of Humphrey, Neb.

Son - Tom (Sheila) Foltz of Columbus, Neb.

Son - Terry (Brenda) Foltz of Humphrey, Neb.
