Amber (Howard) Harms
Amber (Howard) Harms

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22 from 3-5 p.m. with a prayer service and a presentation by the Nurses Honor Guard beginning at 5 p.m., all at Gass Haney Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please designate memorials to the family for future designation. There will also be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the Weekend Lakeside Bar & Grill in Ashland, Neb.
Amber was born on Oct. 28, 1986, in Tarzana, Calif., to Albert and Julie Howard. She did not enter this world alone, as her twin brother Nicolas was born just one minute prior. The family moved to Omaha where Amber would receive her education and graduate from Clarkson Nursing College with honors. Amber’s health issues did not stop her from following her dreams, and meeting Michael Harms, and eventually getting married on Dec. 13, 2024, brought her so much joy and happiness.
Amber dedicated her life to helping others in her nursing career. She enjoyed spending time outdoors going kayaking and camping with her support beagle - Patches. Michael cherished the time he had with her doing the things she loved along with bringing her out to the farm to experience the life he was brought up loving.
Amber is survived by her husband Michael Harms of Columbus; Parents - Albert and Julie Howard of Elkhorn; Twin brother Nicolas (Megan) Howard of Bettendorf, Iowa; Nephew Ames Howard and nieces Sasha and Mira Howard; Aunt Betsy (Rick) Worley and family; Uncle Robert (Nancy) Kolb and family; In-laws Gary and Diane Harms of Monroe; Brothers-in-law John Harms of Columbus and Nick Harms of Monroe.
