Kent Korth, 71, of Humphrey, Neb., died Thursday, June 25, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at St. Francis Catholic Church and Father Taylor Leffler celebrated the Mass. Visitation was on Monday, from 5-7 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Visitation continued on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until service time, at the church. Interment will be at a later date in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.

Kent Korth was born Nov. 23, 1954, in West Point, Neb., to Francis and Katherine (Pilcher) Korth. The family moved to Omaha and later to the Humphrey area where Kent graduated from Humphrey High School. On Sept. 18, 1976, Kent was united in marriage to Carolyn Coombs at St. Francis Catholic Church. The couple moved to Montana where Kent did home roofing. After a couple of years in Montana, the couple and their infant son Aaron, moved back to Nebraska, and eventually settled in the Humphrey area.

Kent drove truck for Foltz Trucking, worked at the Humphrey Coop and then Creston Fertilizer for over 30 years. Kent went back to school when he was 40 and earned a degree in from Northeast Community College in Norfolk in Agronomy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching and cheering on the New York Yankees.

Kent is survived by: Wife – Carolyn Korth of Humphrey, Neb.

Son – Aaron (Lea) Korth of Humphrey, Neb.

Grandchildren – Nichole, Archer

and Andi Korth Sister – Kris Hastreiter of Humphrey, Neb.

Sister – Kim (Gary Fetter) Korth of Columbus, Neb.

Brother – Larry (Joan) Korth of Creston, Neb.

Sister-in-law – Sue Korth of Ashland, Neb.

Sister-in-law – Linda Korth of Humphrey, Neb.
