Charles Laverne 'Chuck' Wisehart

Charles Laverne “Chuck” Wisehart was born on Dec. 24, 1939, in Humphrey, Neb., to Romey and Lena (Labenz) Wisehart and passed away on Aug. 24, 2026, in Lincoln, Neb. at the age of 86.

Chuck attended school in Humphrey. He was united in marriage to Julie Stoeber on Sept. 22, 1962, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Humphrey. They lived in Humphrey until 1966, before moving to Omaha until 1968. They then made the move to Seward where Chuck was assigned with the Nebraska State Patrol. In March of 1979, Chuck and Julie purchased the Rivoli Theatre. Together they made the Rivoli more than a theatre, it was a gathering place, a home for stories, and a symbol of what made Seward so special.

Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, he cherished his family and treasured the memories made while taking them on trips and adventures. Chuck truly loved life and found great joy in music. He will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and his wittiness.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julie Wisehart; sisters Florene (Wendel) Cass, Dolores (Marlyn) Hendrickson, Helen (Ron) Blaser, Geraldine (Withold) Fergin; brothers Jerome (Buddy) Wisehart and William (Sue) Wisehart.
