Condolences may be sent to the family at www. levanderfuneralhome.com Catherine Ann Korus was born April 14, 1957, in Newman Grove, Neb., to Larry and Arlene (Beller) Wessel. Cathy attended Lindsay Holy Family school from 1st to 12th grade, and graduated with the class of 1975. She continued her education at the Grand Island School of Business.
On Oct. 22, 1977, Cathy married the love of her life Daniel Joseph Korus at Holy Family Church in Lindsay, Nebraska. To this union she was blessed with four children, Jeff, Joe, Angie, and Amanda. Dan and Cathy moved to Grand Island, Nebraska for seven years where she worked as a secretary until she became a mom. They moved back to their home towns of Lindsay in 1985.
God’s calling for Cathy was to be a mother. She took great pride in being the best mom a kid could ask for. No matter how grown up they became, she would still take care of them. She made sure to never miss a school mass her kids participated in, athletic events, or school events. As a family, they traveled on many vacations throughout the years of the kids growing up, some of the favorites being ski trips to Colorado and Cathy’s favorite, Disney World.
As Cathy and Dan became empty nesters with their own kids, their first grandchild was born. The grandchildren continued to come, and now the total has grown to 12! Her grandchildren were the absolute light of her life! She made sure to attend
every ball game, school concert, and grandparents day for all the grandkids. She’d welcome the grandkids with open arms every time the kids came to visit. She continued loving vacations by going on lots of weekend getaways with the grandkids, and even across the country vacations with the whole family.
Cathy was devoted to her Catholic faith and passed her love of God onto her children and grandchildren.
Cathy is survived by her husband Dan.
