St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Darlene Korus

Darlene Korus, 90, of Lindsay, Nebraska, entered into eternal life Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home, Newman Grove, Neb.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at 10 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay, and Father Eric Olsen, Father Jim Novotny, and Father Jim Kramper celebrating the Mass. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Visitation was on Monday, from 4-7 p.m., and a vigil service was at 7 p.m., all at the church. Visitation continued on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until service time.

Darlene Korus was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Platte County, Nebraska, to Frank and Isabelle (Schaefer) Albracht. She attended school at St. Bernard through the 8th grade, then went on to work at the Gambles Store in Humphrey, Neb., until she was united in marriage to John Korus of Tarnov, Neb., on Jan. 25, 1949, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey.
