Gerald Killham, 66, of Columbus, Neb., died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at his home, surrounded by family.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Sept. 19. at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Park Evangelical Free Church in Columbus, and Pastor Mike Escen, Kevin Bennett, and Pastor Will Sanborn officiated. Interment was in Gruetli Cemetery, rural Duncan, Neb.
Visitation was Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continued on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the Emma Strong Foundation or Columbus Christian School.
Gerald Killham was born in Columbus to Raymond and Wilma (Tiaden) Killham. He attended Richland Grade School and graduated from Columbus High School. Gerald worked at Behlen manufacturing for a short time before going into farming with his father and later with his son Jeremy. Gerald farmed in the Richland area before purchasing a farm just east of Columbus. He also worked for A Glenn Kluck Feed Lot. On Nov. 23, 1973, Gerald was united in marriage to Nancy Wegener in Columbus.
Gerald enjoyed coaching sports. He coached boys and girls basketball at District #9 School, and club soccer and softball. Gerald enjoyed going fishing, playing card games, attending his children and grandchildren’s activities, playing games with the kids, and eating out.

Grandchildren: Karsten, Kora, Keeshen, and Kash
Daughter: Sherri (Ryan) Dohmen of Lindsay, Neb.
Grandchildren: Dylan, Caleb, Emily, and Briley
Daughter: Jenny (Jason) Noble of Bellevue, Neb.
Grandchildren: JaLisa, Jaelen, and Javon
Son: Jeremy (Amy) Killham of Columbus, Neb.
Grandchildren: Karley and Camden
Daughter: Kim (Jared) LeSuer of Columbus, Neb.
Grandchildren: Mason, Kylie, and Kiera
Brother: Douglas (Sue) Killham of Columbus Neb.
