Karen Lynn Lachnit

Karen Lynn Lachnit

Karen Lynn Lachnit, 77, of Humphrey, Neb., passed away on May 27, 2022, at the Journey House in Lincoln, Neb.

Karen was born on Feb. 27, 1945, in Albany, Calif. When she was four years old her family returned to Humphrey, which is where she grew up. Karen graduated from Humphrey St. Francis in 1964. She earned her cosmetology license and worked for many years as a hair stylist. For over 27 years Karen drove a school bus for Humphrey Public Schools.

Karen was a big fan of Elvis and had a love for her kitties. Family and friends were very important to Karen.

She is survived by her brother, Loren Lachnit. Karen was blessed with many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Sedona Lachnit, her sister, Marlene Olson, brother-in-law, William Olson, sisters-in-law, Carole Jo Lachnit, and nephew, Scott Lachnit.

In loving memory of Karen Lynn Lachnit, please join us for a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey. Services will be officiated by Father Steve Emanuel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass, with a Rosary service prior to the service, all at the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Humphrey Rescue Unit.
