The America Red Cross held a blood drive May 8 for the Espiritu and Coble families. Deco Espiritu and Riggs Coble, preschoolers at Platte Center Elementary School, have acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Lois J. Schueth

Lois J. Schueth, 78 years, of Fremont, Neb., passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her home.
 
She was born Sept. 3, 1938, in St. Bernard, Neb., to Leonard and Lorraine (Schaecher) Ottis.
 
Funeral Mass was 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont. The Father Eliot Schwer officiated. Visitation was Monday, April 17, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. with family received friends and a rosary at 7 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
