Lugene G. Korth, 92, of Lindsay, Neb., peacefully entered heaven surrounded by her family on Feb. 20, 2024, at Meridian Gardens in Columbus, Neb.

Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay was on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 10:30 a.m., and Father Stan Schmit celebrated the Mass. Visitation was on Monday from 4-6 p.m., with a rosary and vigil service were at 6 p.m. Visitation continued beginning at 9:30 a.m., all at Holy Family Church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested as those of the family or donor’s choice. Lugene G. Korth was born Dec. 10, 1931, in Lindsay, Neb., to Vince and Catherine (Kate) (Dohmen) Beller. She attended school through 8th grade at St. Bernard Catholic School in St. Bernard, Neb. On Sept.26,1951, she was united in marriage to Vernell Korth.

Lugene was an active member of the Church and community. She sang in the choir and attended many school activities and ball games for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Family Guild and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She loved to garden and canned much of her produce. Lugene enjoyed baking cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies for her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Lugene enjoyed making patch-work quilts, embroidered tea towels, crocheted afghans and making hand towels for her family. She liked to play cards with friends and family and belonged to several card clubs over the years.
