Sharon Herchenbach

Sharon Herchenbach, 70, of Madison, Neb., formerly of Humphrey, Neb., died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at Arbor Care-Countryside Home in Madison.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at 10 a.m., at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey with Fr. Stan Schmit celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 12, from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. vigil service, all at the church. Visitation will continue Friday from 9 a.m. until service time, also at the church. Interment will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to those of family choice.

Sharon was born Aug. 20, 1953, in Omaha, Neb., to Harry and Anna (Dohmen) Chandler. The family moved to Humphrey, Neb., where Sharon graduated from St. Francis Catholic High School. She worked at Klub 81 while her parents owned it and often spoke of the many fun times she had there. After graduation, Sharon attended Columbus Beauty School and then went to work at Countryside Nursing Home in Madison. Sharon dearly loved animals and worked at the Humphrey Vet Clinic prior to starting her antique business. Sharon was involved with Christian Mothers.

Sharon was united in marriage to Randy Herchenbach on July 4, 1973, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Together the couple raised three children – Bryan, Lori and Jennifer, and lived on the family farm.

Sharon adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face. She enjoyed spending time with her girlfriends who were like family to her and getting together with her extension club. Sharon had a knack for decorating and was a great cook, known for her pumpkin and banana bars. She made the holidays

magic, especially her love for Christmas and Santa. Sharon took pride in the beautiful flowers on the farm and had a passion for antiques.

Sharon is survived by: Son – Bryan (Jenny) Herchenbach of Lindsay, Neb.

Grandchildren - Nicole (Kenton) Kabes – great-grandchildren Lane, Raelee, and Kreo Allison (Riley) Schroeder – great-grandchild Lenni Trevor Herchenbach Kristen Herchenbach Daughter – Lori (Mike) Brabec of Columbus, Neb.

Grandchildren – Gavin and Haden Brabec Daughter – Jennifer (Jason) Luce of Foxfield, Colo.
