Bulldogs give up 4th quarter lead

A three-point lead vanished in the fourth quarter as the Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family girls fell to Twin River 41-35 Feb. 7. The Bulldogs led 25-22 heading to the fourth, but were outscored 19-10. H-LHF led 6-4 after the first quarter and 13-10 at the half. The Bulldogs struggled to get their shots to fall, hitting just 11 of 51 two-point tries, 22 percent, and 2 of 17 3-point tries, 12 percent. Tay Beller led the team with 12 points, Danie Brandl scored seven, and Brittney Veik and Allie Schneider scored five each. Beller also led the team with nine rebounds.
