St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Flyers, Bulldogs heading to state

Humphrey will be well represented at the Nebraska State Track & Field Meet this week at Burke High. St. Francis and Humphrey High scored well May 10 at the 2019 NSAA Track & Field District D-3 at Hartington-Newcastle Qualifying for state from Humphrey High are Paige Beller, Taya Beller, Autumn Bender, Addison Schneider, Brittney Veik, Brooklyn Magsamen and Ashton Sims. Heading to state for the Flyers are Sydney Engel, Tara Foltz, Jalyssa Hastreiter, Leah Podliska, Allison Weidner, Evan Foltz, Landon Kush, Austin Leifeld, Justin Leifeld, Tanner Pfeifer, Trevor Pfeifer and Taylor Wemhoff.
