St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Flyers season ends on 4th and goal

The two heavyweights fought toe to toe until the end.

It wasn’t until Osceola stopped St. Francis and fourth and goal from the 3 yard line that the game was decided, holding on for a 50-46 win in the second round of the Class D state playoffs here Friday.

“I didn’t call a very good play,” St. Francis head coach Eric Kessler said of the last play of the game.
