St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Korus, Preister set pace for state cross country meet

Daisy Korus and Caleb Preister are heading to state.

The Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family cross country runners earned the trip to state with impressive finishes Thursday at the District D-2 race at Pender.

For the girls, Daisy Korus was 6th in 21:48, Natasha Dahlberg was 27th in 26:31. Allison Durkop was 32nd in 29:30.
