St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

Pfeifer scored 25 points in Flyers win

Trevor Pfeifer scored 25 points to lead St. Francis past Shelby-Rising City 66-57 Feb. 9. The Flyers led at every turn, taking a 20-15 lead after the first quarter and 36-29 at halftime. They outscored the Huskies 30-28 in the second half to earn the win. Jarrett Weidner scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. Tanner Pfeifer scored nine points, had six rebounds and six steals, and Justin Leifeld scored nine.
