There were more than 600 competitors from 39schools. The Bulldog team placed 7th, a huge accomplishment for a small D-1 school at a class A tournament. Since the meet was so big, there were four sets of finals. Most events had over 70 competitors in them. The top finals (places 1-6) were called Champs Finals; the second set (7-12) were called honors finals; the third set (13-18) was merit finals; and the last set (19-24) were consolation finals. The top three places in each final event were awarded mugs instead of medals.
