St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

St. Francis boys 2nd, Brandl 4th at Pender

Freshman Christina Brandl, the lone female running cross country for St. Francis, placed fourth as an individual at the Pender Invite Thursday.

In a field of 15 runners, she finished the course in a time of 24:32.38.

Coach Jennifer Tuma, said, “With Christina being the only girl, she is really taking it in stride and she’s worked hard. She improved her time and placed yesterday after having an injury last week and not being able to run.”

On the boy’s side of the race, the team placed second as a team with three finishing in the top 15 to earn medals.
