St. Francis junior Andrew Kosch, right, shot a 78 and finished as runner up in the Patriot Invite. Freshmen Jacob Keller, left, carded an 86 and earned the 14th place medal. The team shot a 355 which placed them 5th in the 15 team tournament.

The Humphrey St. Francis grade school students had the opportunity to guess the weight of two huge pumpkins (pictured above) that were grown and donated by Jadyn Olmer. The winners for the biggest pumpkin were Bennett and Harlee Brandl, who guessed the same weight, 130 pounds. The weight of the pumpkin was 127.6. The second pumpkin winner was Korbyn Westring who guessed 99 pounds. The weight of the pumpkin was 98.8 pounds. The contest was a fun fall activity for the students to participate in. The winner of the pumpkin decorating contest in the mini pumpkin category was third-grader Kinley Classen with her Veggie Tales pumpkins. Sixth-grader September Babel won the decorated category with her “Popcorn” pumpkin. The winner of the faces category was first-grader Jack Wemhoff and his Pennywise pumpkin.
