His family consists of their 11 children, 11 in-laws, 45 grandchildren, 27 grandkids-in-law, 75 great-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild-in-law, and 2 great, great grandkids.

Emma Labenz, of the Humphrey FFA Chapter, has been selected as a State FFA STAR Finalist in Production.
Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Students can compete for awards in nearly 50 areas ranging from agricultural communications to wildlife management. Proficiency awards are also recognized at local and state levels and provide recognition to members that are exploring and becoming established in agricultural career pathways.
The Humphrey FFA members competed in the District FFA Career Development Events. Participants competed in written knowledge tests, as well as demonstrating additional skills in the contest area.
