The Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family bowling team competed here Saturday in the East Husker Conference meet. The girls won their second conference championship in as many years, and the boys were runner-up. The Humphrey High School

The Humphrey High School speech team was runner up at the Boone Central Invite. Medalists and their events were as follows. Addison Schneider placed 4th in persuasive speaking with her speech about life after high school. Carson Schnitzler finished 3rd in humorous with a piece about Humpty Dumpty. Abilyn Schneider placed 5th in serious with her piece, The Care and Feeding of Baby Birds. Lexi Bohaty finished 6th in poetry with a presentation about the importance of speaking up for yourself. Natasha Dahlberg placed 4th in entertainment with her speech about dyslexia and Nora Bertrand placed 3rd with her entertainment about true crime. Nichole Korth placed 4th in JV entertainment with her speech over dinosaurs, and Barbie Korth was runner up with her speech about hating winter. In JV duet acting, Karley Vering and Bertrand placed 2nd with The Sole of the Matter. In varsity duet, Bohaty and Jenaya Wemhoff finished in 5th performing The Dependability of Yellow Jaundice, and Addison and Abilyn Schneider were champions with their script, Southern Comfort.
