The Humphrey High School speech team won the championship of the East Husker Conference speech tournament Feb. 23.

Courtesy photo The Holy Family/St. Francis Speech team has been bringing home medalists over the last two weeks. At the Wayne High/Wayne State College Classic Feb. 5, MarryRita placed 6th in Serious and Jocelyn placed 6th in Humorous. The team's home meet on Feb 11th, Ava and Jocelyn placed 6th in Duet. Jocelyn also placed 3rd in Humorous. MarryRita was the Serious Prose Champion while Seth brought home the 4th Place. At the Humphrey High Sweetheart Meet, Jocelyn was the Humorous Prose Runner-Up. Delaney placed 6th in Novice Informative. Columbus Lakeview held their Viking Voyager Feb. 18. MarryRita placed 4th in Poetry. Seth placed 4th in Serious, and Jocelyn placed 6th in Humorous. Humphrey High talks a good game win conference speech

The Humphrey High speech team finished as team champions at the East Husker Conference meet held in Stanton on Wednesday, February 23. The Bulldogs were also crowned champions in six out of nine NSAA events.
